Children’s & Youth Resources:

These resources will be used within the various groups in-person on a Sunday morning. This means that if you are unable to attend one of our Sunday Gatherings, you can still study and follow along with the same material at a time that is best for you. However you study, we encourage you to engage with your group as much as possible. If you would like to know about how you can get connected with our children’s or youth groups please contact us, we would love to hear from you.

Bible Study Questions:

Herea re some questions for you to use, whether you are exploring God’s word within your Life Group, in other group settings, or simply using them on your own.

A. DISCUSSION STARTERS

These are simple questions to provoke discussion together out of the talk (ideal if you are watching our Sunday Service online with others in your group):

1) Was there anything that particularly impacted or inspired you during the talk?

2) Was there anything that you struggled to agree with, or weren’t sure about, in the talk?

3) How do you think you will try and live differently as a result of the talk?

B. QUESTIONS TO EXPLORE

These are questions that are based on the talk and the surrounding themes:

Guard your heart (with all diligence) for it is the well spring of life (Proverbs 4 v23).

1) How do you guard you heart ? What kind of thing helps you to guard with all diligence? (as some translations of this proverb out it).

2) What are the warning signs for you when it needs attention?

3) Ezekiel (Chapter 36, verses 26) says: ‘I will give you a new heart and out a new spirit within you. I will remove from you your heart of stone.’ In what area might your heart have become hardened? Spend some time praying that God by His Holy Spirit  will soften our hearts where we have grown numb if apathetic to the pain and injustice around us

4) Where are our hearts broken and carrying personal scars?

5) How do we long to see healing and hope for the future? Spend some time praying for the Holy Spirit to heal and renew our hearts

6) God strengthens our hearts where we are fearful and overwhelmed. Can you think of a time recently where you have felt fear or a sense of being overwhelmed or stress and His Holy Spirit has been your advocate, peace and strength?

The Holy Spirit not only convicts our hearts but cleanses us and takes away our shame. Sin and shame are called ‘the cholesterol of the heart’. Pete Grieg says there is more grace in God  than there is sin in you. Spend some time ‘looking to the Lord’ and the work of His spirit to take away our shame and allow us to live freely and lightly again.

Finally, the Holy Spirit does all this beautiful renovation in us so that we can be part of His revolution of love . He restores us for the overflow of our hearts into the lives of all those around us … the wellspring of life.
