Why Social Media?

By sharing your video story on your own social media account(s) it is likley that your friends and family will see it. Most people in the UK are on social media for 2.5hours per day. Further, most people prefer short-form video content and the main reason for having an account is for ‘keeping in touch with friends and family’.

Prayerfully sharing your story on social media therefore holds HUGE opportunities to trigger conversations about your faith with your friends and family.

Did you know?…

77.9% of the UK population use social media: 53 million people.

66% social media users prefer short-form videos.

‘keeping in touch with friends and family’ is the top reason people in the UK use social media – 53.1%

The average time someone spends on social media each day is 2.5 hours.

Highest usage in UK
(hours per month):
1 – TikTiok – 27.1
2 – YouTube: 15.3
3 – Facebook: 14.4
4 – WhatsApp: 8.4
5 – Instagram: 7.4

We want to be prepared for any opportunity to share our faith, and that comes with prayer and studying God's Word daily, before the opportunity presents itself. So how do we get prepared and find the courage to share our faith? God has not called us to be timid people, but imitators of Christ.

1 Corinthians 11:1

“The devil will try to discourage you, to divert you; he will seek to dilute your testimony; he will attempt anything to destroy your relationship to Christ and your influence upon others".

Billy Graham

“Blessings are released when you testify of the goodness of the Lord. What are you grateful to God for? Share your testimony".
