We have two full time youth workers who lead a large voluntary youth team that works together with young people.
Andy King (Youth Pastor) is responsible for leading our Roc and Miff groups in various settings throughout the week. Martin Woodruff (Community Outreach Worker) is responsible for engaging the youth of the local community through the Pineapple Youth Project and in local schools.
ROC SOLID is for young people in school years 7-9. We meet during term time on Fridays from 7-8.30pm at Riverside House, 21 Alcester Road, Moseley, B13 8AR. On Sunday mornings, we meet during our Moseley gathering (9.30am) and Bournville (10:30am) as part of Riverside Church.
MIFF is for young people in school years 10-13. We meet during term time on Fridays from 8.30-10pm at Riverside House, 21 Alcester Road, Moseley, B13 8AR. Our aim is to encourage each other on how to be a true disciples of Jesus Christ.
During the week, we have a variety of life groups for young people in which we can explore what it means to follow Jesus. These meet on various evenings, in various places.
In partnership with Church of The Ascension, Pineapple Youth Project is a weekly youth club based in the Pineapple area in Stirchley. Led by Martin Woodruff (Community Outreach Worker), twice a week they play “PINEAPPLE RULES” football in the park and run a weekly youth club called “The Youth Zone”. The aim is to see children and young people’s lives enriched, boost their confidence, empower them by providing a place to meet in a safe and positive environment, and give them opportunities to explore the Christian faith.
Youth Zone meets every Friday during school term time, 5:30pm - 7:00pm
