2 Corinthians – Chapter 9, verses 10-15

EXCERPT:

We often think of generosity in terms of money, but it affects every area of our lives. What if we cultivated generosity throughout our whole life? In our words, in our attitudes, in our decisions.

But how to do so? It is only when we see what God has given us – his own son – that we can have a default position of generosity. And when we do so, it is infectious…people around us start being generous to us too! Let’s start a generosity revolution!

These are simple questions to provoke discussion together out of the talk (ideal if you are watching our Sunday Service online with others in your group):

2 | Was there anything that you didn’t necessarily agree with, or found difficult to understand in the talk?

B | QUESTIONS TO EXPLORE
These are questions that are based on the talk and the surrounding themes:

Read:

1 | Would you say you are a generous person?

2 | Read 2 Corinthians 9:10-15. What strikes you about the impact of generosity?

3 | Read v12. Paul, the author, highlights two different impacts of generosity. What are they, and why are these important to be bear in mind through our everyday lives?

4 | Verse 15 points to God’s great generosity. In her talk on Sunday, Judy mentioned that generous people don’t look for a reason to be generous, but for an opportunity. What might that reason be, and why might that lead to every generosity?

5 | Judy quoted Amy Carmichael, ‘You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving’. What do you make of this quote?

6 | As we conclude this series on Generosity, what impact has it had on your life?

7 | What steps can yo take over the coming weeks to be ore generous?

8 | Take some time to pray, asking that God would overwhelm you with his generosity, so that you can be more and more generous in your life. 

As you explore these questions pray for one another to deepen and develop your relationship with Jesus.
