Bryan & Diane Wilson

Diane and Bryan met while serving as missionaries in Zambia, Africa, serving for a total of 23 years and raising three children there (Toby, 22 Ross, 19 Charis, 18).  Five years ago, the special educational needs of their daughter necessitated a move to the USA where Bryan is from. Bryan is a missionary pilot and has been helping various ministries. In the last year he has also returned to Zambia to fly for three months.

During this last summer the family was able to travel to Peru, South America and serve with South America Mission.

During their two month stay they helped with twelve work teams, helping with hospitality and logistics for the teams and teaching English in Peruvian schools. Bryan and Ross helped many of the teams with building projects. Ross also enjoyed serving the many sports ministries that “Sports Friends” hosted. Volleyball, Futbool, and basketball all were big hits.

And then there was the “Impacto” ministry- a ministry to the elderly with activities each week, ending the summer with their own version of the “old people” Olympics.

The Wilson’s just helped out wherever needed, with their limited Spanish. It was an amazing summer, and the Mission has invited them back next summer…. Time will tell….

The winters are spent in Tucson, Arizona, Bryan’s hometown. Toby and Ross are both at John Brown University and Charis is in her last year of High school.

The primary fruit we see from this ministry is indirect as the Wilson’s have been “serving those who serve”.

What’s next? Bryan has been asked to be the Executive Director for the USA office of a mission called Global Recordings Network. GRN records portions of Scripture in as many languages as it can. Currently their database has over 6500 languages recorded, and they continue to work on the remaining 2000, to give all peoples the chance to hear the words of Jesus in their own language.

We are so thankful for Riverside’s years of support for our family and our ministry in Africa, Alaska, Peru and possibly around the world through GRN.
