24-7 Prayer Week: Starts 5 November

24-7 Week Of Prayer
Starts 1pm Sunday 5 November
Ends 1pm Sunday 12 November

We get a sense that now is the time when the whole church needs to come together in a concerted intentional way and pour out our hearts to God for a whole host of things. Such as about our future, the provision of the building that we are longing for, for example. We feel that alongside all that God is calling us into, that it is important to have a week together.

This link provides you with an opportunity to book a 30 minuet time slot for prayer. You can book more time slots if we wish. We encourage you to sign-up so we together as church family can cover the whole week in prayer. These have been amazing times as a church family when we have done them in the past.

The essence of prayer is not getting God to do what we want, but learning to do wat God wants.” Charles Scobie

That is what we are on our knees for. Asking God to move us forwards in this broken world, in this broken time, for the sake of God’s glory. What a week it is going to be!

GET INVOLVED:
For full details of whay you get involved with and to book your time slot please visit our prayer page.

Riverside Money Advice Newsbite: Imagine A Place...

… where your jaw dropped at discovering the unexpected,
and beyond your wildest hopes.

Imagine a place… where a welcoming conversation turns into heartfelt prayer that bestows a tangible sense of peace and well-being… which leads the subsequent Money Advice appointment to go unexpectedly in a new direction.

Imagine a place… where a successful outcome in a call to the DWP makes a visitor ask how much he owes us. As he is told our help is free and part of our Christian community, he initially bursts into tears but then pours out a prayer of blessing upon the team and everyone who uses the building.

Imagine a place… where someone coming for money advice returns a few weeks later to …

Riverside Pantry - Drivers Needed Urgently

The Riverside Pantry is in urgent need for drivers. Each Wednesday, from September 2023, food will need to be picked up from a warehouse in Nechells.

 # We are looking for 2 volunteers. One person to be a driver and a second person to help collect the food.

# It is preferable for the driver to have access to their own car that has a big boot.

# We are looking to set up a team of drivers.

Tue 3 Oct - Prayer For Persecuted Christians

We meet to pray together on the first Tuesday of each month at 7.45pm online (via Zoom). Note: Occasional meeting happen in-person at Riverside House.

Open to all, with regular attenders from a variety of churches.

On Tuesday 3 Ocober our prayers will include a request that God will “make seeing eyes blind” at the border between China and North Korea, so that relief aid, including food, medicine and clothing, can reach Christian believers and all in need in North Korea.
