“Love?” asked the Velveteen Rabbit.

Age Range: Family, 2-7 years (but something for everyone to enjoy!)

(Adapted from the timelessly classic children’s book, ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ by Marjory Williams.)

Riverside Performing Arts Newsbite

We have had a blast performing ‘Snow’s White Christmas’. This holiday season we performed 18 shows in 15 different venues. We drove nearly 400 miles!

Many hundreds of children (and adults) were able to laugh, boo and cheer during our nativity pantomime. One of the school’s head teachers said:

‘Thank you so much for a wonderful show. It was brilliant. We will certainly want you back next year.”

Read on to discover more of what’s happening in the life of Riverside Performing Arts in this month’s RPA Newsbite.

Riverside Pantry: One Year Anniversary

Riverside Pantry is currently celebrating their one year anniversary!

As the team begin 2024 there will be a few changes on the Pantry Team. Joyce Muigai will sadly be leaving the role of ‘Pantry Co-ordinator’ mid-January. We would really like to take this opportunity to thank Joyce for all the hard work and dedication she has poured into this role. She has led this role with such joy, humour and hard work. Indeed, this is a great opportunity for us to thank everyone on the team who have made the Riverside Pantry such a success for those in need, bringing help and hope for our city. Thank you!

However we are delighted to say that Samuel Sherman, who currently serves on the Pantry team and who and works for Riverside Money Advice, will be taking on the role of Pantry Co-ordinator.

Riverside Pantry one year anniversary is therefore a celebration of a year well-done, and a prayer for the new team and it provides an opportunity for you to get involved. If you would like to get involved please simply register your interest using the form below and someone will be in contact with you.

These performances are now all fully booked but if you would like to be put on a waiting list for any returns please contact Sarah Auger on saraha@riverside-church.org.uk

Please do pray for each of the children and new families we are connecting in with, that through this project we would be able to show them the tangible love of Jesus.

Aperture-tunity knocks!

We would really like to collect images and videos from the various events and Sunday Gatherings at Riverside.

Get Involved:
So, if you enjoy photography or videography (or both) we would love to hear from you! Simply click here and select the Communicaitons Team a the start of the list. Alternativley simply e-mail: communications@riverside-church.org.uk

You wont be expected to attend every event and there won’t be any expectation for you to stay in the Communication Team long-term. Any amount of time you can provide is much appreciated.

Why is photography important?

Great photos and videos can help us reach our vision of bringing LIFE to every generation in every community in so many ways. Here are just three examples:

1: Welcoming
Recent photos and videos allow people to visit Riverside authentically online and these really help people to make the decision to visit in-person.

2: Photos and videos tell a story.
It’s true that a picture really does paint a thousand words. Photos help us to connect with people.

3: Outreach
Great photos help us to improve all our channels of communication such as our website, social media, printed materials, online services and so much more.
