Evening Services

From Sunday 23 April, we will be having evening services at Riverside House (6:30pm to 7:45pm).

# Why are we doing this?
Our intention is that these evening services will provide space for more people to gather and attend in-person, to encounter Jesus and form community.

# What will they look like?
The evening services will look and feel very similar to our morning services. However, the room layout will provide a more open relaxed space to be together for worship and fellowship. Jus like our 11.30am services, our evening services will not be livestreamed and there wont be any additional groups for kids or youth.

# When?
These will be every Sunday apart from the first Sunday of the month. The pattern therefore will be:

– 1st Sunday – Tally Ho Gathering in the morning (9.30am) & Prayer & Worship Gathering at Riverside House in the evening (8pm).

– All other Sundays in the month: Gatherings in the morning (9:30am and 11:30am) and evening (6.30pm); both at Riverside House.

Note: Prayer & Worship Gatherings will therefore be changing to the first Sunday of the month starting on Sunday 4 June. There won’t be a Prayer & Worship Gathering in April and May. In May we will pray and worship together at The BIG Riverside Weekend Away.

NEW TEACHING SERIES: WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING FROM?

What Are You Running From?
New Teaching Series | Sunday 23 April

Who is your enemy? Who do you think deserves God’s justice, more than they deserve his mercy?

That’s the central question in the ancient book of Jonah. As we journey with him during this 4-week Sunday teaching series, we are forced to take a look in the mirror. And we’ll discover that God is far more merciful than we ever imagined.

‘Should I not care about that great city?’
Jonah (Chapter 4, verse 11)

Is This What Church Looks Like?

We are in a season where each of our experiences of Riverside varies. But what does Church look like? Riverside has various ministries happening during the week, and we would like to share what Church looks like at Riverside. And as we labour together, we also wanted to share some of the current encouragements and challenges we face as a Church.

If you have not received a quick newsletter already about what Church looks like at Riverside, you can download it here.

Want to improve your quiet time?

– WHY? This helps to direct people to the virtiual front door and virtual welocme team of Riverside Church (our website/blog post links).

# Blog Post Editors
To grammar check AI generated transcripts of each talk. These would then be published to the Teaching Sereis blog each week.

Stay & Play Needs You

Watch Video

There is a real risk that we will soon need to close one of our Stay & Play sessions on either a Monday or Tuesday (10am-11:30am) because we do not have enough volunteers.

If you can spare some time on a Monday or Tuesday morning please do register your interest. Someone will then contact you to discuss further.

Whether it’s making toast, tea and coffee, chatting to parents and children,  setup and putting toys away, reading a story, … there are so many opportunities for people to help.
