How do we celebrate Christmas? And why do we celebrate Christmas? Join us at Riverside Church in Moseley for a festive Gathering for people of all ages to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas this December. With songs, games, and the chance to decorate your own Christingle orange, get your whole family together and book on!

There is a chance to enjoy complimentary mince pies, mulled wine and hot chocolate after the service as well!

Sunday 12 December

Join us at 4pm for carol singing on the green of The Church of the Ascension (Pineapple Grove, Stirchley, Birmingham B30 2TJ). This will be followed by food and hot chocolate.

You will have the opportunity to decorate a tree with a paper heart and if you wish, you can write a prayer requests or prayer of thanks on the heart.

No need to book online, just turn up and enjoy this festive time together.

The Riverside Moseley Community Hub would love to bring together a team of people to sing carols and give out free sweets, tasters of hot mulled wine and service invites (and have a lovely festive time!) at the Moseley Farmer’s Christmas Market on 18th December 2021 (10:30am – 12pm). Is the Christmas story historical fact or is it just a quaint story we love to retell? Join Riverside Church in Moseley for a Carol service where we will rediscover the miracle of Christmas but also the reality of the story of Jesus’ birth. Sing your favourite carols as the community gathers together to explore the good news that Christmas brings.

Christmas Day Reflection | 10am – 11:00am
Join us on Christmas day for an relaxed in-person service celebrating that Christmas is here and we can all be together! Please note that the service will not livestream.

Open Lunch | 11:45am – 3pm
Feel free to stay for a free Christmas lunch that will be served after the service! Its for anyone and everyone and their friends. You’re invited! No need to bring anything and no need to book online. Just come along and enjoy a wonderful meal together.

Our Boxing Day Sunday service will be looking at Christmas as it should be in a reflective service online only. Tune in at 10am to watch it live with others online or catch it later on our YouTube channel.

Join us for our New Years Sunday Service when we will be kicking off the year with two services, times of singing and worshipping together as well as a time to pray for the year ahead. Looking forward to seeing you there!

If Christmas has raised questions for you about the Christian faith we invite you to join our Alpha Course. The Alpha Course is a brilliant opportunity to learn more about the Christian faith in a relaxed and friendly environment. You may have questions like:

What is the meaning of life?
What happens when we die?
Is Jesus Christ relevant to my life and the world today?
How do we deal with guilt?
